what's the risk here? It's not like they are putting iphone as a DS competitor. Gaming on mobile phones is a whole separate market that's growing fast, it wouldn't make any sense for Apple to not do what their competitors are doing. Why stay behind?

Yea know what..I am thinking that is before the 15 bucks...I guess with AT&T being the only provider..they can charge whatever and people will deal with it..

waste of money. and texting has to be the worst way to communicate ever. especally kids in my school they will text each other in the same clas room, and most of the time there pointless messages anyway. and thats how these cell phone companies get rich.

actually that is not much better than #ds. who remembers the N-gage? that thing could run tony hawks. it got destroyed by GBA. also have you ever considered the wondwrful possibility of HAX on this thing...

I do want a $199 iPhone, but primarily for it being a phone, mp3 player and HOMEBREW. Proper games platofrm? Blech.

and the only comparison it has with the NGage is that they're both phones first.

Meanwhile the iPhone is on pace to sell 10 million in 18 months. Same can't be said of the N-Gage. What'd they sell? couple hundred thousand? No, the iPhone has a platform that developers can tap...and they will make a lot of money off of it if they make their games right.
